All puppies are examined by a licensed Veterinarian and given a clean bill of health on week 6before they leave our home. This Puppy has no known diseases or illnesses to the best of the Seller and Veterinarian's knowledge with the exception of any conditions previously discussed and documented on the veterinary exam form.

Seller's Responsibility:

  1. The seller guarantees that the puppy is in good health (minus potential intestinal parasites) and has received the following:

    1. Age-appropriate immunizations

    2. Subcutaneous microchip

    3. Deworming

    4. Health certificate (available at the time the Buyer takes possession.

Purchase Price

  1. The puppy chosen is to be reserved for the said named buyer listed here in this puppy purchase agreement. This puppy pick will be personally made by the said named buyer or by his appointed representative.

  2. The purchase price of the puppy agreed upon:

  3. Part of the purchase price will be paid immediately with this agreement as a holding fee to guarantee that the seller will hold the puppy for pick up on the below-specified delivery date and delivery terms. This holding fee is to secure your place on the waitlist, and the order of picks which will be communicated at the time of this partial payment being received.

  4. The balance is due to be paid in cash, after crediting the holding fee amount (500), will be paid to the seller at the time of pick up of the puppy to the buyer.

  5. The holding fee is nonrefundable but 250 dollars of the fee can be transferred to a future litter, within 18 months of the agreement date, only if said litter does not produce the color/gender of buyer agreed upon choice. If an expected litter results in no puppies, your holding fee is transferred to the following litter- and would be placed on the waitlist. Failure of the buyer to complete this purchase would subject the seller to lost opportunities to sell the puppy to another buyer. The retention of the holding fee is meant to compensate the seller for this possible loss. This holding fee signifies the intent on the part of the buyer to follow through with the purchase of this puppy.

    Buyer's Responsibility:

  6. Buyer bears all costs relating to the sale of the above animal, including transportation. The risk of loss or injury to the above animal is on the Buyer at all times after the puppy leaves the Seller.

  7.  The Buyer agrees to have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within three (3) business days of taking possession. This is not able to be extended.

    1.  If the puppy is found to be in poor health, the Buyer has the option of returning the puppy to the Seller, at the Buyer’s cost, for a full refund minus the holding fee (500).

    2. The Buyer will provide a written statement from a licensed veterinarian clearly stating the defect or illness.

    3. The Seller reserves the right to have the Dog re-examined by the Seller's veterinarian at the Seller's cost within ten business days before any refunding transaction.

    4. The Seller reserves the right to acquire DNA testing to determine if the Dog or Puppy is of the Seller's Dog's lineage before issuing a refund.

    5. Please ensure that the puppy is kept in a kennel or held in the waiting room of a veterinary office and that the exam room is properly disinfected before the appointment. (Parvo is a vary contageous disease, and cause death to puppy)

    6. Do not let the puppy walk on the floor in the veterinary office and ensure the room was cleaned prior to putting your puppy on the table. I recommend bringing a clean towel or blanket with you to be safe.

  8.  The Buyer is responsible for all medical expenses associated with the treatment of intestinal parasites if the puppy is diagnosed, even if the puppy has parasites present when sent home). If you are not willing to treat puppy parasites (sometimes more than one treatment is needed), then please do not buy a puppy.
    A. It is common for puppy parasites to flourish after joining their new family (stress and change accommodate this).
    B. Most parasites can be contagious, and it is possible that other dogs in the house can get them.
    C. Do not let your other dogs eat the puppy’s feces and clean it up immediately using proper cleaning chemicals.

  9. Each puppy comes with 30 days of  Trupanion insurance which must be activated by the Buyer within 24 hours of pickup. Any health conditions attributed to the Seller which require veterinary care must first be submitted to Trupanion Insurance for payment. Veterinary cost reimbursement from the seller is limited to the Trupanion deductible amount. If  Trupanion insurance is not activated by the buyer within 24 hours of pickup, the seller reserves the right to deny payment for any/all veterinary costs. The seller is not responsible for any communicable diseases diagnosed by the Buyers veterinarian. Due to the contagious nature of Parvo, Seller reserves the right to deny veterinary cost reimbursement for any puppy diagnosed with Parvo at any point after leaving the seller's care.

  10. The Buyer agrees to maintain at the very least basic obedience training with this Dog. A puppy class is highly recommended for socialization, along with Baxter and Bellas training course. Cornerstone Kennels partners with Baxter and Bella and offers 25% off with code CORNERSTONEKENNELS.

  11. The Buyer will provide adequate housing for the Dog away from the elements. The Dog will be kept primarily indoors and will receive multiple hours of attention every day.
The seller recommends that the Buyer feed the Dog food that is rated 4-5 stars on https://www.dogfoodadvisor.com/

  12. The Buyer understands that color, weight, and height is not guarenteed, but is the best guess of the seller based on parentage. Buyer understands that doodles often fade and their color is not as vibrant due to the poodles fading genes.

  13. The Buyer agrees to have their Dog seen by a veterinarian for a comprehensive exam at a minimum of once per year, for this contract's duration.

  14. The buyer allows the Seller to use any pictures of the dog that the Buyer posts on social media for the purposes of reposting and sharing on Facebook, Instagram, their website, or other manners.

  15. The buyer is aware that puppies can have certain common ailments upon coming home. Urinary tract infections, parasites, ear infections, and allergy issues are all common. While we routinely deworm and monitor for UTIs and ear infections, the stress of leaving the breeder can cause flare-ups. The buyer understands it will be their responsibility to treat and care for my new puppy once they leave the breeder. Puppies are inspected by a licensed veterinarian prior to leaving and found to be in good health before leaving Cornerstone Kennels. Once puppies leave our care we cannot guarantee against UTIs, ear infections, allergies, or parasites.

  16. The puppy must be picked up within 72 hours of going home day. (8 weeks) There will be a charge of 45 dollars per day board and training fee beyond the 72 hours.

    Genetic Health Guarantee

The seller guarantees your puppy to be free from genetic problems on our health guarantee page for up to one year. If there is a proven genetic condition from our health guarantee, the seller will provide the buyer with a replacement puppy of equal value. A written examination from a veterinarian must state that a genetic defect exists and be accompanied by testing from 2 genetic companies at the expense of the buyer. The Genetic Health Guarantee does not cover structural issues such as hip or elbow dysplasia as there are many factors that are not genetic that impact these conditions. Your puppy must be seen by a vet within 3 days of pick up for the Health Guarantee to be valid. If you spay your puppy prior to 18 months it voids this guarantee.

      Return & Rehoming Policy

We require our puppy families to contact us about rehoming our puppies. Sometimes things happen in life and it is the best interest of the dog to have a different home. Cornerstone Kennels requires the dog to return to us. Our dogs should under no circumstance be surrendered to a shelter or pound. We take the dog back to help ease your burden and to ensure our dogs are safe. We will take the dog back and find a new home. If there is a home that you desire your dog to go to, then we will give written permission for the dog to be rehomed without first returning to us. The original owner is responsible for covering the costs of sending the dog back to us. We do not reimburse when a dog is returned to us as we will be taking over vet care and boarding of the dog until it is rehomed. Our boarding and train fee is 50 dollars per day.

      Spay and Neuter Contract:

  1. Spaying/Neutering/ FSS by a licensed, reputable veterinarian is required (Recommended at 18 months or later.)  Early spaying can increase the risk of hip dysplasia, torn ligaments, bone cancer, and urinary incontinence. Any altering of the dog’s reproductive system prior to 18 months old will result in an immediate void of the health guarantee.

  2. It is understood that at the time of sale, the puppy is not to be used for breeding. It is a representation of its breed and it is structurally and temperamentally suited for a companion and or working dog. It is NOT being sold with breeding rights.

  3. Breeding your dog is strictly prohibited by the seller.

  4. No dog sold is not allowed to be bred unless breeding rights have been discussed and agreed upon. If the buyer does breed without rights, the buyer agrees to the following penalties:
